Red Cross hit in US bomb attack

A warehouse used by the International Red Cross in the Afghan capital, Kabul, has been hit and set on fire during the latest American-led air raids on Afghanistan.

One Afghan member of staff was seriously injured, said the ICRC.

The blunder follows the killing of four Afghan guards from a UN mine clearance agency in Kabul nearly two weeks ago when another bomb went astray as well as several villagers when two bombs meant for Kabul airport went astray.

The Pentagon has yet to comment, but said earlier that dozens of US navy and air force planes hit other targets throughout Tuesday, including the capital, Kabul.
