Spider-Man trailer removed after US attacks

The trailer for the new Spider-Man film has been removed from the movie's official website because it features the World Trade Centre.

The trailer features Spider-Man swinging around the New York skyline.

The twin towers of the World Trade Centre were a prominent part of the clip.

A spokeswoman for the film's producers Sony told www.latimes.com that the shot of the towers was not included in the film.

Spider-Man is due to open in the UK next year.

A number of other films have also had their release dates postponed following the US terrorist attacks.

Tim Allen's new film, Big Trouble, has been pushed back to next year.

It features a nuclear device being smuggled inside a suitcase past airport security onto a plane bound from Miami to the Bahamas.

Sidewalks of New York, which stars Ed Burns and Heather Graham, was due to open in America on September 21.

It has now been postponed until November.
